Great ski conditions are sometimes in Slovakia as well!

The fresh powder snow and the weather were really very well in the ski resort Martinske Hole. However that was all. It was better to choose some working day for skiing than some free day to avoid crowded ski slopes. Therefore skiing was great with empty ski slopes. The second working shift was already worse with replacing of the working time. :o) Great extended ski weekend was in West Tatras as well. Accurately scheduled weather, great accommodation in Zuberec village, perfect traditional Slovak food with Slovak country music, empty ski slopes, good cross-country ski trails, simply all was perfect beyond our expectation. My parents took in with us the second and the third day and tested the nice cross-country trail to Tatliak cottage and back to Zuberec. This trip was very funny except for a few falls of my parents. They were already too much tired but they liked this trip. The last day we were skiing again in the ski resort Zverovka Spalena where we had again big luck for nice sunny weather and empty ski slopes. Well, all went very well.

White snowy romance in Tyrol & Swiss Alps!

We could name this year-end holiday with one word “Romance”. Skiing, cross-country skiing and skating were ideal for our new adventurous and a winter fun. We had the biggest impression from traveling by car through Swiss mountain saddle “Flüelapass” to Davos during New Year’s Eve. We never forget the car fuelling in Davos. New year’s skiing in Austrian ski resort Ischgl was fantastic and unforgettable. We enjoyed it. After half of nordic ski trial (11 km) in Mondarfen mountain village we got the large sweet surprise – apple strudel decorated on the plate with fruits. Unfortunately a swimming pool was missing in Pitztal valley and there was not ideal conditions for tobogganing. We visited this place one more time after year because the bad weather was taken us by surprise the last year. At present it was pretty good.

Corsica is the island of beauty!

And that is really true. High mountains, beautiful beaches, magic mountain villages, historical architecture, disparate animals, many different nature sceneries … and everywhere is an atmosphere of the typical French countryside. This could be a short description of this island.

Our tent camp was built on the west sea coast in the beautiful nature scenery where every morning four donkeys gave us waking-up time in further new day. We had to adjust our schedule of our planned mountain trips because driving by car was too slow on this island, mainly when wanted to travel from see coast to mountains. However we saw and discovered a lot of beautiful mountain places, picturesque villages, interesting cities and views at see coast. As advantages we appreciated the summer weather with lower temperatures for doing sporting activities, good privacy in the camp and on the beach. The special experience for us were unexpected floods during one stronger storm when we had to rescue our whole tent and everything placed in it. We climbed up one interesting hiking trail under Monte d’Oro summit. We tested more good French wines. We saw a lot of white and black pigs and manycoloured goats in mountain areas. The fox took from us our garbage and the fog scratched on our tent wall over night. Everything was going well with one exception – worse weather at the end of our stay.

We are sure we were not the last time on this island. :o)
