We waited to see cross country skiing in Slovakia till today!

This year’s winter unfortunately didn’t come off according to our expectations. After the first snowing in Slovakian mountains we checked snow conditions in Skalka nordic ski resort and decided to test our famous trail to Hostinec cottage. The weather was warmer and cabbage soup again failed us but despite of it a guite satisfaction –  adjusted trail, less skiers and good mood to it. :o)

However we had to travel for them as far as to Switzerland!

This year’s beginning of winter surprissed us with amount of snow. Mainly in Austria where missed a lot of snow in mountain ski resorts. However we calculated with everything and falled back on Switzerland which was not a failure. Swiss & Italian Alps had enough snow for our winter holiday. We spent the last two days of this year again in beautiful new mountain places as Arosa, Chur, Bivio and Savognin in Switzerland. We couldn’t imagine such lovely end of year. Cross country skiing in Arosa, the romantic hotel in Chur and skiing in Bivio were unbeliveable and unforgettable for us. The winter weather went well according to our visions,  sunny, frostily, morning temperature -16°C, just a sky-blue winter romance. New Year’s skiing we enjoyed again in our favourite ski resort Silvretta Arena from  Swiss side. After skiing we visited the mountain village Samnaun with its luxury shopping centre in the duty free zone. We let to feast a little bit our eyes on that. :o) At the end of our stay we again moved where was more snow. At times we moved to Italy – Passo di Resia. The strong snowfall and a lot of new snow brought us a further experiences throughout cross country skiing along Lago di Resia.

Our dreams were again satisfied. :o)

This year’s Christmas we started a little in nature!

Why should we clean out, seat & cook at home?  It is fine to vary a few hours with some other activity during Christmas holiday. The spring sunny weather accompanied us during our short trip to cottage bellow Kľačianska Magura. The frozen & slick trail, warm sunny weather (10°C), quite enough snow, surprisingly very well hospitality in the cottage and at that good temper & society of the best friends. At the end of our trip the nice Christmas music dulcified our departure from Turčianské Kľačiany village.

Everything was perfect. We are looking forward to our yearly New Year’s Eve holiday in Tyrol. :o)
