One improvisation due to the weather change and we visited again France!

Our quite long summer holiday started in Italy in South Tyrol area. We knew what was waiting for us: beautiful green meadows under high mountains, picturesque alpine villages decorated with coloured flowers, dreamy biking trails with various difficulties and high elevations, cold nights and hot days, Italian pizza and pastes … simply Italian Alps. Everything was meet with our expectations. Two day biking trails (Valle di Duron & Valle di Tamersc) were really difficult mainly with their technical parts and they tested our preparation. We almost didn’t finish the second trail due to the long distance and the extreme tiredness but we finished it closely before getting dark. One evening storm and extremely cold night surprissed and reinforced us but not killed. :o) Driving through mountain saddles and evening activity in the camping are also worth mentioning. :o)

Unfortunately after week the weather change in the west Italy canceled our next plans in this Italian region. Therefore we had to improvise with suggestion of some next destination. We decided for Azur coast in France and immediately moved our tent over there. There were less biking activities but all the more bathing in the Mediterranean sea. We visited the famous city Saint Tropez and found a couple biking trails in the mountain area of Massif de l’Esterel. We tested a couple French food specialists, however attention it is needed to know what way practice it. :o) We have a lot of fantastic impressions from biking trail through the central part of Grand Canyon du Verdon. On the way home we visited the beautiful Hochosterwitz castle in Austria.
